Portland

Last weekend, Aaron, June, and I went down to Portland to visit some friends and celebrate Aaron’s birthday. We left at around 3:00 and it was only supposed to take 3 hours, but the traffic was so horrendous that it took 5 hours! It was awful. June couldn’t get a good sleep with all the stopping of the traffic that she only slept 45 min the whole time. That didn’t bother her, she was still happy! When we got there we ate some pizza and the kids went to bed. We stayed up and talked and laughed and talked about the old times. Chrisite and Ben had visited us a couple times before and we thought it would be fun to spend a couple days with them.

The next morning we went to the Children’s Museum.Christie and Ben also have a little boy, about a year and a half. The kids had tons of fun! It was fun to see them explore and take it all in. We went home and the kids napped. Lately Aaron had been obsessed with Survivor, so we watched a couple episodes of that. We all went out to dinner and had such a fun time!

On Sunday it was Aaron’s birthday. We went out to breakfast and walked through the mall. Aaron has also wanting to get an ipad 2….. every time we call an apple store or go by a store they are all sold out and you have to get up very early to wait in line for one. He is still patiently waiting to get one. Aaron isn’t a big sweets guy, so I didn’t bake him a cake, but I did bake his favorite cookies. Christie and I got him a Jamba Juice. We stuck a little candle in the top and sang “Happy Birthday”. It was such a fun time! They way home was a lot faster,so that was nice. We hope to visit them again sometime soon.I didn’t take tons of pictures… still getting use to bringing my camera everywhere

Nature

The weather here  has been just perfect(for Washington in March). June and I have been able to go on walks almost every morning/afternoon. She has been practicing her walking skills just in the house and so I thought a  good idea might be to practice her skills outside with some rougher terrain and her shoes on. We would walk to a non busy street and I would take her out of the stroller and she would be able to walk and explore the world around her. I am probably having her develop some sort of bad habit in the future, but I am just so excited that she is adventurous and curious that I want to develop that as much as I can.

A Few Of My Favorite Things

She has the most beautiful voice!

I love to have her singing in the background all day long.

No need to tell me how adorable these little shoes are... I already know .

I love love love this place, everything on the menu is delish!

Don’t even get me started on the guacamole….

This chocolate is super yummy. They have such an interesting variety of chocolate. Spicy Chili chocolate,Coconut Curry chocolate, 91% dark chocolate… and it’s organic!

I just discovered this popcorn when I was on a chocolate tour in Seattle. Very interesting varieties as well; Jalapeno cheese, Buffalo Blue Cheese,Bruschetta, Coconut Macaroon, S’mores and Maple Bacon. They also have normal popcorn flavorings too.

Please watch this show… you will not regret it.

oh… and watch this one too.

Ok, so this picture contains TWO of my favorite things/people. My sweet little June and my amazing hubby. I don’t think I could survive this place without them.
