Greenlake

I feel very lucky to live around such a beautiful area. For the past few months, June and I have been going on walks to Greenlake. Greenlake is a amazinglake located about 10 minute walk from our house. It is such a beautiful walk, she loves to be outside! We feed the ducks and watch all the dogs playing in the park. we haven'r been able to walk outside lately on account of ALL the rain, but we can't wait for spring!

6 months

I can't believe June is already 6 months old! Man.... time has flown by. She has brought so much love and laughter into our lives. She has been crawling for over a month and has started solids this week.I am so glad to be her mom and look forward to many more milestones!

She loves to explore... this girl wants to look and touch everything.
She puts every single object into her mouth, even if it is a stranger's finger or the bathroom floor...(don't worry, i keep it clean).
She loves to blow raspberries. She does it all day long, and by the end of the day, the front of her shirt is soaking wet.
She always wakes up with a big smile on her face and loves the morning she gets to spend in mommy and daddy's bed.
She loves her baths and can't be contained, so the baths usually last about 5 minutes.
She likes to play with wires and usually things she is not supposed to be playing with(phones, computers, ipads, and remotes).

She hates being contained when she is in an exploring mood... that is not the time to get a cuddle in.
She hates getting out of her baths... not because she is cold, but because she wants to play more.
She doens't like when you take things away from her that she really wants to play with(computers, amgazines, ipads, remotes).
She gets mad when she realizes that she can't climb the stairs yet... she tries to pull herself up on the bottom stair and gets mad that she can't get up.

We enjoy every minute with her and can't wait to watch her grow every day.

California Girls

Last week June and I visited my sister, Stephanie, in California. We had such a blast!
You are probably wondering what that big, orange pumpkin is in doing in the background? It is a hot air balloon and was supposed to be avialable giving out free rides to the people who drove around for twenty minutes trying to find it! Sadly, when we arrived  with our carful of kids, the winds were too strong to take the balloon up. We were all pretty disappointed, but there was a playground nearby and we all played around for awhile.
We also visited Pumpkin City! It was a fun little place that had rides and a circle full of pumpkins that was too picturesque to pass up. We had a lot of fun looking at pumpkins, taking pictures, and riding some rides! You will also notice in EVERY picture, June is not smiling once! She was having a fun time... I swear!
We had a fun time at Newport Beach. June LOVED to put het feet in the water and play in the waves! It was such a beautiful beach and we had such a great time! That would be June's first visit to a beach and I would say it was pretty successful!
We got to go to the pool too. My sister has a pool about 1 minute away from their house. June loves her baths, so you all know she loved the pool too! This was her first pool expierence, so i am so glad that a lot of her firsts are going well! She loved to splash, eventhough it got all over her face and all in her mouth, she didn't seem to mind.
I want to thank Steph and Blake for making it such a great and fun trip! I really appreciate everything you guys did to make the trip so much fun for us. I also want to thank Evy, Dane, and Grant for being such great cousins and taking such good care of June! We miss you all so much and can't wait to see you again soon. We love you!

My Little 5 Month Old

I can't believe my tiny little baby is already 5 months old! She is the 2nd best thing that has ever happened to me. I feel so grateful to have her in our family. She is loved and adored by everyone that meets and sees her. I cannot tell you how many times people have stopped me and told me what a beautiful baby she is and how happy she is. She is easy going and VERY cuddly, which Aaron and I both love. She doesn't try and squirm away from us, i think she has just embraced the cuddles that are consistantly given. I love her so much and she has truly blessed us with her presence.

Splish Splash

This girl LOVES bathtime! She could stay in there forever,I think. Everytime she is in her bath, she kicks her legs and loves to splash. She always has a big smile on her face the whole time. By the end of bathtime, I am all wet! We have her covered; for the sake  future embarrassment.

#1 Fan

Do you know what it feels like to be someone's favorite person? So...what qualifies someone as a favorite person?
-Everytime they see you, a HUGE smile comes right across their face.
-The things you say;no matter tone, words, or voice pitch... they love it all and laugh
-They listen smile when you sing(even if you don't have the best singing voice).
-No matter what you are doing or where you are going; they go along for the ride and enjoy every second.
-They love just to be around you
As I write this, I realize the great resposibility and example that I need to set for not just June, but my future little ones as well. As she watches my every move and spends all her time with me, I need to be sure I am doing everything I can to make the right choices, so she can make the right choices in the years to come.
"Mothers who know do less. They permit less of what will not bear good fruit eternally. They allow less media in their homes, less distraction, less activity that draws their children away from their home. Mothers who know are willing to live on less and consume less of the world’s goods in order to spend more time with their children—more time eating together, more time working together, more time reading together, more time talking, laughing, singing, and exemplifying. These mothers choose carefully and do not try to choose it all. Their goal is to prepare a rising generation of children who will take the gospel of Jesus Christ into the entire world. Their goal is to prepare future fathers and mothers who will be builders of the Lord’s kingdom for the next 50 years. That is influence; that is power" -Julie B. Beck
